Molested Part Two : A Poetry Letter to the little girl within

As of November 2021, Deannia Friend is honored to debut her second book titled Molested part two: a poetry letter to the little girl within. In Molested part two: a poetry letter to the little girl within, Deannia continues to speak out against molestation with bravery and strength, with hopes of helping those who are searching for their voice of redemption. Deannia believes that Therapeutic Poetry can help ease one’s thoughts while knowing there is life after molestation. She is here to express how to take control over such a traumatizing experience and interruption of the mind.

Deannia L. Friend is an educator, writer, poet and self-published author who, over the past forty years, has been journaling and writing poetry, expressing vulnerability while aiming for spiritual, emotional, mental and internal peace. Her journey of fighting through the pains of childhood molestation has inspired her to produce works that heal the mind, body and soul.

Molested part two: a poetry letter to the little girl within, is Friend’s sophomore effort. Her first book Molested, captured thoughts from Nikki Giovanni the legendary poet, writer, commentator, activist and Virginia Tech University Distinguished Professor. Giovanni states, “When I received the copy of Molested I simply had to stop and read it. Your voice is so clear and strong, your emotions so honest. Every young woman should have a copy.” -Nikki Giovanni
